City of Milan..(my longest window shopping ever..hehe..)
|
|
Milan, Italy..yup ..another trip to Europe after Barcelona....In da first place, my frens and I didnt plan to go here but we managed to get realllly cheap tix (cost 10 pounds incl. tax) so, why not? hehe...
As we landed at the Milan airport, I was so happy to see the Milan airport covered with snow (well, hardly to see Cardiff snow anyway)...and Milan was snowing for the rest of our stay there...yeppie! main salji! main salji!.. We stayed at Monopole Hotel (50mtrs from Central Station) and very near to all public transportation.... just like in Barcelona, the public transportation is good ..for EUR5.50, you can get access to all public transportation (bus, tram, metro, underground) for 2 dys!
Milan City reminds everyone about shopping (hmm..maybe window shopping for me)... from PRADA, Escada, D&G, Armani, Versace, Salvatore, LV, Bulgari and even PARAH (Italian brand) is available there..to be honest, I've never been to these boutiques in KL coz definitely ppl will look at me up and down as i enter the boutiques (that is so normal) but when I was in Milan, i can say that I explored all these boutiques..hhehe...i even managed to enter Roberto Cavalli's boutique which limit 5 customers in their shop at one time.....was quite interesting coz the staff are not hesitate to entertain anyone who enters their shop regardless of their appearance...in other words, no double std is practice by them...about the price? hehe....the cheapest handbag that I like (in PRADA) after 60% discount (sale in Italian is SALDI) is EUR279..hehe...(in my heart, 'murahnye'!!) ..and the most expensive bag (normal handbag size) is EUR15,000 (in Giorgio Armani)...(maybe there are other expensive bags than the one i found in Giorgio..)...
My frens and I really had a 'mega' window shopping in Milan..hehe..though we didnt really do the 'shopping' but all of us plan to come to Milan again once we finish our study with the mission to 'reward' ourselves after our PhD journey..insya Allah...so, as the most precious souvenir from Milan...enjoice the pix...

Christmas Market, Bath
|
|
Myself and frens joined a trip to Christmas Market, Bath organised by our school .. at first, we had no idea about what this 'market' all about . Its actually a market with the retailers selling unique, handcrafted items, festive food and drink, clothing, decorations, jewellery, accessories, crafts and childrens toys. This kind of market is famous in Europe as preparation for their Christmas celebration in December ...just like us in Malaysia, Jalan TAR, Ramadhan Bazar, this bazar n that bazar n etc..... the trip was enjoyable and it was fun to see other ppl's place and culture...as usual, some pix to be shared! cheers!
p/s: sorry for the late update...

Ola Barcelona..;)
|
|
One of the most interesting thing studying in UK is the ability to visit other European countries..and Spain was my first destination. Bee, Zuha and I took a flight from Bristol direct to Barcelona...we managed to get cheap flight (Easyjet) and it costs us around 50 pounds (consider cheap). We spent there for 4 days and 3 nights..it was great and fun !
There are many places to visit in Barcelona...from museum, historical buildings, markets, stadiums, parks and not to forget shopping centres (but due to currency exchange, I didn't spend a lot..hehe...). If anyone has a plan to visit Barcelona , it is highly recommended to take the tour bus which is not only reasonable but you'll be able to cover all the interesting places...
Some of the places that shouldn't be missed including Sagrada Familia, Gaudi Park, Poble Espanyol, Barri Gotic and many more. Transportation in Barcelona is superb and cheap..halal food was quite difficult to find but I still manage to grab plain bread n sardine (which is quite nice and tasty actually). Another interesting thing about Barcelona (probably applicable to the whole Spain) is about their coffee (cafe'). Usually a normal cup of coffee is about 150-200ml (normal cup) but they just serve coffee in a small cup (since i'm a coffee lover, one is not enuff for me...hehe... ) per serving...
The people in Barcelona are friendly and the guys are 'hot'...so handsome ooo...hehe... most of them speak Spanish and hardly understand English..though they don't understand our language but they try their best to show the direction when we were looking for our way...
Anyway, i have lots of pix to upload but here are some of those...enjoice...chow for now;)

To Stonehenge
|
|
My school had a trip to STONEHENGE last Saturday. Since the place is quite far from Cardiff and I've never been there before, so, I joined the trip wif my frens...
Stonehenge is one of the best known ancient wonders of the world. It is composed of earthworks surrounding a circular setting of large standing stones...Despite numerous theories, no-one knows for certain the reason why Stonehenge was built...
Anyway, the weather was a bit cold that day but it didnt stop the tourists to take photos and enjoy this most outstanding prehistoric monument in British Isles.....

Demam x-factor...
|
|
I was watching x-factor yesterdy n while waiting for the results, Leon Jackson (last yr's x-factor winner) presented his new song titled 'Don't call this love'...amazing track n love the lyrics a lot.....I just adore this song....
Cry in the rain
Nothing to say
Lately I wonder
Who you are today
I know all about you
But I don’t understand
Why you won’t see me
Why things have changed
Oh baby something is going on
God knows I know
Chorus
‘Coz you can’t keep nothing from me
‘Coz I know what I’ve seen now
You can try your best to deceive
But I know where you’ve been now
And you can cry your heart out to me
But it’s hard to believe
Don’t call this love
I might be no good
In your eyes only
But one day you’ll see that
I was good for you honey
You need to grow up
Get your life together
We can’t go on now
Doing this to each other
Oh baby something is going on
God knows you know
Chorus
‘Coz you can’t keep nothing from me
‘Coz I know what I’ve seen now
You can try your best to deceive
But I know where you’ve been now
And you can cry your heart out to me
But it’s hard to believe
Don’t call this love
Listen to me
Baby, don’t call this love
Chorus
‘Coz you can’t keep nothing from me
‘Coz I know what I’ve seen now
You can try your best to deceive
But I know where you’ve been now
And you can cry your heart out to me
But it’s hard to believe
Don’t call this love
Don’t call this love
Don’t call this love
Don’t call this love
A song by Leon Jackson ...Don't call this love..
