Camden Town & Portobello Market, London

HELLO AGAIN!! its been a while tak update my fotopage.... sedar tak sedar, its already SPRING!! but yet it still feels like winter...sejuk still...whatever it is, i'm still enjoying myself here ...hehe..(itu sudah semestinye!)
anyway, here are some pix taken when i was away to London.... went to other side of London pulak...Camden Town and Portobello Market. Actually, Camden Town was on fire last 3 mths and if you could see, the place still under construction after the fire...a fren of mine said that place more or less like our Petaling Street ...hehe...and surprisingly many Malaysian ada kedai kat kat situ ...another place that we went was Portobello Market , a place where antique's lovers must go...located at Nottinghill and it reminds me to 'Nottinghill' movie...hehe... igt smptlah nk bjiwang2 kat Nottinghill just like in Ronan Keating video clip but it was raining in the evening n berkuyupla saya.... 
me and Aiza were there in London for 4 days n this time our accommodation was sponsored by Fida, Aiza's fren studying in London..thanks Fida! nk dijadikan cerita, we almost missed the bus back to Cardiff. Because of British Summer Time begins on 30 Mac, we had to minus 1 hour. Instead of doing that, we plus 1 hour and as a result we were 2 hours behind the time... apalagi, bermulalah show Amazing Race kami ke Victoria Coach Bus Station...practically we were running all the way to catch the bus. ..and since it was Sunday on that day, few Underground lines were closed for maintenance and we had to use different line to reach the bus station....lucky thing, we reached there on time ...haha....tulah, there's no such thing as + or - time in Malaysia ...so, itulah pengalaman namanye...  till the next update....

Postgraduate Dinner 2008

Venue : Cardiff City Hall
Had postgrad dinner at Cardiff City Hall...met other research students from different backgrounds and nationalities...was great n fun..food delicious.sat wif interesting ppl ..good conversation n stuff....this is an annual dinner organized by Cardiff Business School and attended by postgrad students (master/PhD/DBA)...enjoy the pix...especially me wif kebaya in winter...hahah...

Another trip...where to? Cadbury World..the Chocoholics Paradise..yupp...i'm referring to the Cadbury chocolate that u like...hehe.. the Cadbury World a.k.a the Chocoholics Paradise is situated in Birmingham.. about 2 hrs from Cardiff. This trip was organized by the Graduate Center Cardiff.
Whats in the Cadbury World? of coz chocolates and chocolates and chocolates...hihi..had the opportunity to see how the worker make the choc, got to know how this famous chocolate company was formed and lil fun in that Cardbury World...(actually, it would be nice if the children come to this place..hehe..) but..okla...
Then, went to Bullring (City Center in Birmingham)... nothing much actually but full of shops (like other city centers in UK i supposed) ..(I thought aderlah bull competition ke ..apa ke..hehe..) ...sharp at 5.30pm, pulang ke Cardiff...

Trip to London
|

Went to London last weekend wif my two frens; Zuha and Aiza. We planned to go in mid February and last minute we had to change our plan coz we saw a really good deal..so, just grab it ..
We left Cardiff around 7.00am and reached London at 10.00am on Sunday. Thanks to Fida (Aiza's fren in London) coz she's been a great unofficial tourist guide when we were in London ...I guess we might lost in the middle of central London or Oxford St or under the tube tunnel if she was not there for us...hahah...She brought us to visit Buckingham Palace (should go in August/Sept as we are allowed to enter the palace), Houses of Parliament, Changing the Guard, Big Ben, London Eye, Rumah Gordon Brown...hehe..Westminster Abbey, Tower Bridge and of cozzz Oxford Street (MUST come during sales and u'll shop till u drop....)
All in all, I'll definitely visit London once again to go other places which i have not covered in the last visit ...it is just 3 hrs drive from Cardiff or 2hrs train journey to London... yeppie...

Today...2 Feb 2008, its been 5 mths away from Malaysia ..(kejap je!)..and to celebrate my 5th month here in UK, Cardiff snows this morning...yeppie (forgive me for my 'jakuness')..I was on my way to buy my groceries and it snows...haha..
5 mths away means it has been 5 mths tak bergolek on my fav bed, 5 mths tak window shopping wif cheeqo, 5 mths tak gym, 5 mths tak drive ( i hope i still know how to drive..hehe), 5 mths tak pi pasar lambak, 5 mths tak 'live' gossiping wif my frens (always dpt 'replay' gossip je) and 5 mthslah for everything (including minum2 wif my parents kat alamanda!)...but it wasnt bad at all to be far away from those things...in fact i really enjoy my new life here in UK...lots of fun and so colorful since i'm wearing the 'hat' as student back! ! !
whatever it is, i hope my stay here in UK will be one of the most unforgettable moment in my life as i'm struggling and challenging myself for a better future and life..insya Allah..do pray for my success and always remember me in ur heart.. as i always remember all my beloved families and frens in Malaysia..miss u all...muaahhhssss

Looks my FP turn out to be virtual restaurant..hahah..well, since i've submitted my assignment, my appetite menjadi2 pulak...yesterdy nk nasi lemak, the dy b4 nk nasi ayam and today bubur lambuq...supposedly bubur asyura but last minute tukar to bubur lambuq...anyway...what to eat esok ye??.....

It's been a while....had a hectic weekss and finally submitted all autumn assignments last monday..yeepiiieee...suddenly i craved for nasi lemak sambal udang...went to shop n find santan and blended chillies (as i don't have a blender..hehe..) was a bit disappointing coz the chillies x pedas at allll and no ikan bilis....anyway, enjoy my 'talybont' made nasi lemak during winter...

Talam Keladi - my first attempt

My first attempt buat talam keladi…heheh..
Bahan-bahan:
1 biji keladi
2 cwn santan
1 1/2 cwn gula
2 sd besar tepung jagung
2 sd besar tepung gandum
5 biji telur
Pewarna
Garam
Cara-caranya:
i) Utk lapisan bawah, rebus keladi, gaul bersama 1 cwn santan , garam dan 2 sd besar tepung gandum – kukus selama 10 min
ii) Utk lapisan atas, kacau telur, 1 cwn santan , tepung jagung dan gula (+ pewarna) – kukus selama 10 min lagi...READYYY
Not bad to try this recipe..TAPI!! keladi ni amatlah mianggg..the keladi made me soo dammn gatai...haha..but worth trying ....
p/s: Mama, bule lawan kuih 'abg yusry' kat pasar malam dh..
